Known as the ''PS2'', it is a sixth-generation video game console first released by Sony in Japan in March 2000. The United States saw it later in 2000 with the SCPH-30000. Repair of this device requires only common tools, but can get tricky.

How do I fix a ps2 with shortness in the cord?

I have a ps2 that I've played for several months and now it won't stay on. I thought it was just a short in the cord, so I left it alone. But instead of buying a new one. I want to know how to get it fixed?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi oldturkey03 every time I move the ps2 it shuts off. Maybe I should go ahead and get another one? Unless you think that it may be hope for this one?

@rrosie1967 I am not convinced that it is your power adapter cord that has failed. Sounds more like the connector. Are you pretty handy in fixing things? Let us know what model your PS2 is, there are different slimline models. Could be something like SCPH-7500x so let us know.

You maybe correct about the connecter. It's the machine itself. The problem is where the power cord goes in the machine. But the model number isn't there is torn off. Maybe it'll just be easier to purchase my 4th ps2. Thank you for your help anyway. oldturkey03
