touchscreen only works on upper third of screen

Replaced touchscreen and lcd screen. Both were cracked.After replacing them,the touchscreen only works on upper third of screen.The rest of the screen is dead to touch functionality.Is the new touchscreen defective,or is something else causing this issue? Thanks in advance,Dave.....................

Hi,

Have you tried calibrating the Touchscreen using the Tablet PC settings to ensure that it matches your new screen?

Here is a link to the procedure, scroll down to Touch Screen does not respond to touch, or responds intermittently,click to expand then scroll down to Configure the touch display. Below that there is also a touch screen diagnostic test that may be of some help.
