Invalid Sim Card insert valid sim

I recently got an iphone 6s from my brother living in America,to me living in Africa Kenya. When I inserted my sim card of my local network carrier i.e Safaricom. The phone says ( Invalid Sim Card insert a valid sim with no pin to activate phone) Could you please assist me on how to fix this?

Please contact ur local phone carrier.

It might because the phone has SIM lock, I'll suggest you to contact ur brother to solve this problem.

There is no way to unlock the SIM lock by changing parts.
