What is causing the holes in my clothes? Towels being frayed?
The washer and dryer ... Not sure which one is doing it... but I get small holes in my shirts, and the towels are frayed, and holes in my undergarments. UGH!! WHY?
Is this a good question?

I noticed that there were holes in my t-shirt from front to back. Not sure if it was the washer or dryer. It looked like a bite was taken out of it. I don't have a n agitator dash in my washer.

I am having the same problem with synthetic clothing they pull and it’s very annoying. You have to throw them out because you can’t war them anymore.

Has anyone figured this out I have weird things happening to me and I don't know if it's my hot water heater but I develop sores on my skin and all my clothes are fraying or got holes in it along with my towels that I use

My Maytag model mhw5500w is making holes in our clothes that match the hole pattern in drum. We appliance care out four times -sanded rough places around holes and next week they will replace the drum . As people’s suggest slow speeds why do washer makers make them with such fast speeds if the fast speed is causing holes in our clothes. Our washer is one year today

We got a Maytag top loader several years ago from a friend. Just started tearing holes in shirts near the elbow. On inspection, there is a gap between the agitator blades and the base. I surmise that the sleeves are getting caught in one of these gaps on the spin cycle and torn when the agitator does its thing during the rinse cycle. Only happening on the sleeves of men’s shirts. Wish I could see a new agitator to check this out. Any one else have this problem?
