Would this be ideal for my setup? I have to re solder 1 fan connector.

Which solder is better?

Also I needed both the fans replaced since I pulled them out of their connectors.

Genardas Janonis yes that soldering iron and tip will work. It'll get hot enough to melt the solder. You will need plenty of flux. Do not forget that.

For the solder I'd stick with Kester. The connector and the fans are right. Take your time, practice and use plenty of flux. You do not want to ruin your solder pads. That repair is a PITA....

that soldering iron may not get hot enough for you.

It depends on what is already in there.

some of these new ROHS solders require higher temperature soldering irons.
