This is most likely a software issue if there is no physical damage to the phone. Phone needs either a wipe data / factory reset (you lose all data) or a firmware upgrade / initialization through Samsung Kies application (which also wipes all data). Backup your contacts (export to MicroSD card through contacts application) and photos to a microSD card or computer if needed.
