iPhone not really charging after screen repair

Hi, This is my first Iphone 6 screen repair.

I repaired the screen and everything went well. The phone will not really charge. It got to 14% in about 2 hours now its been on 14% for the past hour and a half. I left the phone sitting for 1.5 months with the battery disconnected the whole time before repair. Anyone have a solution? Thanks in advance!

If this is a hardware fault I'm thinking initially either charging port or battery. Let's start off with the basics first:

- Have you tried another charging cable and / or wall charger to see if the issue still persists?

- Does the charging cable plug in fully into the charging port? If not you may need to clean inside the charging port with a toothpick or something equivalent to get the gunk out. Be careful when doing this as there are about 5 pins that can be bent (These push down slightly normally when a charger plugs in) if you are not careful enough.

I suppose you can also check the charging port ribbon cable for any damage (tear / rip) near the connector part of the logic board.
