Touch IC chip replaced but now the WIFI chip needs replacing too!

Hi guys, recently purchased an iPhone 6 with a known touch fault. i have had the touch ic chip replaced and everything is now fine but the wifi chip is not working ither!

I've been told there's a large risk of completely killing the phone by also

replacing this chip. Is this true?

Please note: the wifi was faulty before the touch ic had been repaired. The fault is 100% the chip and not the antenna.

This is a belated answer so hopefully it can be of use to folks who search for and find this question.

Anytime you apply heat to replace an IC, you risk damaging the phone. The WiFi IC is no different than any other IC in that regard. It is sealed with an epoxy underfill which makes removing this IC more challenging so proper procedures have to be taken.
