Not Draining after last cycle

My dishwasher seems to function normally. The dishes seem clean, but the water from the last cycle remains in after it has stopped. The water is clear. I have read the manual and reset the system several times. When I press the cancel button to flush out the remaining water in the morning, you can hear the water being pumped out, and it sounds like the pump is working well. I have checked the pump - it works. I have cleaned the filter. I have reset it hundred of times.

I did every diagnosis possible:

cleaned it

checked the check valve

pump

relay switch for float

hoses

garbage disposal

Anything else?

Hi, When you say the pump, are there two pumps in your machine? If so, usually the smaller one is the drain pump. The pumps are usually located at the bottom, so you will have to lay the machine on its' back to get access. With the power disconnected from the machine check the connections between the drain pump and the control board,

Just wondering , have you tried all the programmes available to see if it fails in the same way? You don't state the model number so I don't know if this is applicable but on a lot of machines there is a pre rinse programme plus at least three other wash programmes. If it fails the same way on all programmes it is starting to look like the control board, as the drain pump seems to be working when you reset the machine.

I just know it is a whirlpool quiet partner II. My husband checked at least one pump and it was fine. Didn't know there was 2..wow. This is what I have done:

cleaned the filter - there was some debris; checked the check valve - it does have a tear across the top (waiting for the new part to arrive); ran diagnostics - no flashing light to tell me an error; yes the disposal was punched out for attachment; checked the float relay; it will drain after the final rinse if I push cancel to drain it.

Hi,

I know you said that you checked the hoses. but have you tried flushing out the drain hose to verify that it is clear from obstructions? Also stupid question but is your drain hose 'looped' properly to prevent to prevent backflow (also it might be prudent to wait for the new check valve in case it was the problem.

Yes we checked that the hose was not blocked - we even flushed it out The check valve will be here on Friday. We have tried different configurations in the hose. (and that could be a problem..not sure what is best....

Hi,

Here is a link which describes how to to run the diagnostic test. It may not work as it varies slightly from model to model.
