Dropped, cracked screen...what to replace?

I dropped my 7" Kindle Fire HDX and the screen cracked, almost down the middle width wise. The screen on the top part of crack is unresponsive to touch and bottom works fine. There is no problems with the display at all. Still has a great picture display. Anyway I can't find an answer as to what I need to replace. There are so many conflicting things about it or just nothing at all!

With it having a good display and only part of digitizer being unresponsive, I think that the digitizer is all I need to replace. Then again, I've also read that if you're replacing the digitizer that I should go ahead and replace the LCD part as well. What do I do to fix it? I love my Kindle for reading. My iPhone 6+ isn't the same and my iPad Air 2 is ENORMOUS and just something I want to hold onto to read at night. My kindle is with me more than my phone is....please help me out! Thanks so much for any help or advice, I'd greatly appreciate it!
