Converting to flash memory

Really hoping I can get an answer to this!! I tried to upgrade the memory to flash via a zif-cf adapter and a cf-sd card adapter from the standard hdd. Prior to this, the iPod was working fine aside from it taking some time to start it up (aka very low battery) when charging, but for the most part was behaving. After swapping out the items I get an error where the iPod is stuck in a boot loop. *sigh*. What it is doing when I plug it into the computer or wall it is saying very low battery please wait for it to charge and then in a couple of minutes, the sad face with the apple support url shows up, but it wont connect to the computer. It shuts off and restarts to the screen where it says very low battery. So I tried to put the old hdd back in and the same thing is happening. I just replaced the battery and there is no change to it. I am stumped.

Please help!! :(

P.S. I've replaced everything in there aside from the screen, click wheel, and case.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Aaron check the battery connector. This particular model has trouble with the connector breaking of the board as well as the clip not properly secuing the battery flex.

I checked that just now and it appears to be secure. I will have to check continuity on the pins to be sure about the connector working, though I can turn it on without the wire. Is there something on the board that charges the battery that could be bad?

It does have a power management IC but those seldom go bad.

Well not for nothing, I already replaced the battery once and it was acting up again. It really only worked when it was plugged in, or else it needed a "jump start" to run, like a car. Maybe this will help solve it.
