Why is my removable mic boom broken already?

Why have I only had my microphone for a month and a half, and my removable mic boom is already broken? Nobody is able to hear me unless I hold it a certain way. I see that it is $15USD to replace this piece of $@$* on your website. I guess planned obsolescence is really paying off for you @%^$$@$#. Last time I waste my money on your &&^&^$^ garbage products.
