How to fix the focus ring stopping before reaching infinity focus.

I have a Sigma 180mm F3.5 APO HSM MACRO lens that just started behaving strange, i can't get the focus marker to reach infinity focus, it stops right before.

Due to the continuos focus ring i can keep spinning always the focus ring but the marker that tells you where are you focusing stops just before it reaches infinity.
