Plastic strip on bottom of display

I have replaced the display (not for the faint of heart) and everything is working beautifully. However, I can not get the plastic strip to stick back on to cover the screws at the bottom. Do I need to buy a heat gun to melt the glue? I want it to look perfect.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Try some double sided tape and blow dryer. Apply the tape to the rear of the plastic, and heat carefully with the blow dryer to form a tacky surface more than what the tape is now. This will also insure a tight bond of the tape to the plastic. CAUTION! DO NOT HEAT MORE THAN NECESSARY!
