iPhone Screen Replacement Pins Sparked

Hello! I was repairing an iPhone 6S when the cable ribbon accidentally touched a different pin on the logic board, then the cables sparked. The phone still works fine with the old screen. Do I proceed with the new screen, or get a replacement?

Make sure the battery is disconnected when doing any repair. If it is still connected it can cause a short in the logic and could potentially damage it. Also using ESD protection will help prevent any static damage. I would proceed with the repair but the spark could have shorted something in the screen or the phone.

Sometimes I wonder if these ifixit guides don't tell you to unplug the battery right after opening the phone.
