Here are the P/N's for the different graphics cards:

  • 661-5539 - ATI Radeon HD 4670 (256MB)
  • 661-5546 - ATI Radeon HD 5670 (512MB)

If you use a real Apple GC you'll have no problems. If you use something other than Apple's part you'll need to burn the Apple firmware onto the card with is not easy!

Hi,

In iMac 21,5" mid 2010, the video card is soldered on the motherboard.

So, you have a problem unless you change the motherboard that has a 512mb video card.

If you made, take good mother card the same year as yours and you should have no problem.

Sorry I must have been mistaken. In regards to the detachable board that is connected to the logic board?

Sorry, I was wrong model.

Yes, you can change the video card but, you must find a 512mb card that is included with this model in and you have no problem.

If I refer to the Apple website it would be this : 3.2GHz ATI Radeon HD 5670 graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR3 memory
