iPhone not booting and overheating

Hello,

I have an iPhone 5c who is not booting (black screen) and when connected to a power source it gets very hot. I suspect this is a sign of a short circuit.

When opening the device I noticed that one of the shields on the motherboard was bent a bit. I was wondering if this could be the cause of the overheating.

Thank you!

P.S.

The overheating does not come from the bent shield but from the shield with a QR code on it

Answer this question I have this problem too

Remove the EMI shields and get a microscope or magnifying glass and inspect for shorts. Did the phone have water damage?

No, the phone did not have water damage. I will try to open the shields and research a bit more. Thank you
