Why are my turn signals flashing rapidly with LED bulbs installed?

My right rear turn signal bulb on my 1993 Chevy Silverado was burned out so I replaced both L &R rear with LED bulbs, the turn signal now flash's rapidly like bulbs are out but they all are working, do I need a special relay for these?
