Seen displays colored lines

Today I went on a bike ride with my iPhone 6 in my back pocket. After the ride I took my phone out there were only colored lines displayed on the screen. When the phone was turned on I see the lines and when the phone is turned off the display is all black. Is this problem due to water damage? right now the phone is not functioning.

Hello Elise Jansen,

This issue is usually caused by pressure against the LCD causing it to bend until it breaks internally. Another possibility is the ribbon cables have come loose inside of your phone.

I'd guess, because it was in your back pocket, that the LCD just got too much pressure on it causing it to break. I would highly suggest replacing the display assembly. Your local Apple store can help you with this or you can order the part from iFixit and use their guides to complete it yourself.
