Screen dead from liquid damage. Boots up. Functions external screen.
This MacBook Air was in back pack with a leaking bottle. The hinge side near Magsafe connector had most liquid in. It has been taken apart and cleaned but the screen is completely blank. No lighting @ boot - as if it is disconnected. I can boot up machine and use external screen just fine. The LCD doesn't function. I backlit it with flashlight manually and the screen is blank. The backlight behind LCD shows no sign of function. The computer also has fully charged battery but shuts down if cord is removed.
Where can I check for voltage to the LCD and the backlight? Perhaps it is just a problem with the I/O board.
Is this a good question?
