Will not turn on remains on start up screen

My kindle will not start, shows only start up screen. Have followed reboot instruction from amazon but didn't work. Called tech support and they told me to purchase a new one.

Is it repairable?

Options

If it was an apple product you may have been more lucky with the support, however with amazon kindles, buying a new one is probably the best you can do.
