Holly suffering passwords Batman.

Who in the right mind would set a BIOS password.

Ok well if it is a desktop windows machine then do this. I remind you to touch the metal of the computer to discharge your static as you do this work. Be safe and do this often, be touching the case as you fiddle with the motherboard.

Un plug the power cord, remove the side panel to uncover the motherboard

Look for the battery and then around the battery on the board you may find a REST wording and three pins with a jumper on two. Carefully remove the jumper and push back on the opposite pins. Leave for a few seconds then put the jumper back to factory. Now try a reboot to access your bios. remember you will have to reset your time and probably default settings.

OR

carefully lift out the battery by using a small screw driver or hard plastic device to depress the clip holding the battery and remove the battery. Note how it was in there which side was out. Do not get in a hurry as you are powering down the RTC and some capacitors have to discharge. A minute or two wont hurt you to wait.

When putting the battery back in use a paper towel or dry cloth to wipe the battery to get the finger grease off, do not laugh, the battery is only 3.5 volts and does not take much to hinder it. Hold the battery in the cloth as best as you can and put it back in place. Power cord in and boot up, again you will have to reset your time and date.

PHEW...

Good luck
