iPhone 5 battery won't charge after I replaced it

My iphone 5 had water damage and i could not switch it on anymore. i replaced the battery recently though just to see if it might work, and it did! but now the new battery won't charge, i plug it in but i see no charge indicator on the screen. it died on me yesterday, i don't even get the red lightning indicator + cable on the screen anymore. what other parts of the phone could be causing this? is it the lightening connector or the logic board or something else?

how can i verify before ordering more replacement parts?

Answer this question I have this problem too

The best thing to do would be to bring it to a service center.

When a phone gets water damage, the water gets under the components and oxidizes.

First thing would be to clean the board with isopropyl alcohol, including under the metal shields, than check the entire board under microscope.

Than remake all the solder joints that were destroyed by water and replace all the components that lost their pads.

My personal opinion, it's not worthy a repair.
