Battery bent upon removal

I was replacing a cracked screen on my OnePlus One, and when I got to the step to remove the battery I had a tough time. After a bit of trying, I noticed that one part of the battery was glued pretty strongly to the body, and that the battery was bending slightly.

From what I could tell, it felt like the inside of the battery had several smaller battery compartments. I know this is how some other commercial batteries are made, so I did not think much of it and ended up just straightening the battery and finishing the screen replacement.

I have not reassembled the phone, but while charging I started to worry myself that maybe I should not use this battery for risk of fire/explosion. It felt like the bend wasn't anything breaking, but I really don't know.

I am currently charging it (while keeping an eye to make sure it doesn't catch fire), and have not noticed any hot spots on the body of the phone. Has anyone had experience with these batteries that could help me? Do I need to turn it off immediately and wait til I can get a replacement? Or should I try the phone for a bit and see how it runs?

It almost certainly won't explode or catch on fire, but it might start to swell up and it might not last as long as it used to. It might also start behaving strangely, for example jumping several % instead of one at a time when discharging. If I were you I'd order a new one and just replace it. I recently replaced the battery in my OnePlus One and it cost me about $9. I would use the phone as it is while waiting for a replacement. As long as it hasn't been very bent (>30 degrees) or punctured it shouldn't pose a risk.

the battery is not easy damage during disassemble, it is better you have warm the battery body a little bit as the glue paste the battery to house body.

if the battery is not work at all, you can find a battery for replacement.

Thanks

Jack.
