My Nexus 6P got water damaged, What will I need to replace?

my Nexus 6p spent about 20 minutes in a light amount of water in a ziplock bag. When I go to turn it off, it shows the charging screen and then the Google screen will pop up. Sometimes it will start the android screen of the start-up, but then it goes black and the red notification light will start blinking. I've successfully taken the thing apart, but am not sure where to start now. I'm going to replace the battery and daughterboard connecting cable.

What else might I need to replace? I'm not sure what to look for.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi

Before you replace anything, perhaps try cleaning all your boards properly in isopropyl rubbing alcohol and all the connectors. This may restore the device to working order without the need for replacement components.

Thanks!

I agree with Larry. Clean everything first! I had a similar instance happen with me, and after a thorough cleaning of corrosion, my phone booted up perfectly! However, I came to realize that the microphone in the daughterboard failed. It was a pretty cheap $20 part though. Depending upon where the water damage occurred may tell you what area of parts need replaced. In general, it is a good idea to test all the functions of the device if/when you can get it to boot up. This will help you further decide.
