You will need two separate COA Windows keys. I would do a clean install on your SSD. Why do you need to install Win 7 Ultimate ? Is the HD the same size for both. There is cloning software that can clone a smaller drive on to a large drive proportionally. You need exactly the same model. They could be the same

model number but if one was built in the the begging of a year and second built at the end of the year it could be with different hardware. I would recommend a clean install for best results.

I suppose that technically you could do that but it's not really the best solution. For one thing, you'd definitely have to change the windows activation key. Let me ask you, are you planning on upgrading the laptop to Windows 10 after installing the SSD? Also, where is this laptops original HDD?

Exactly..i was thinking the same as you that it is not the best solution but i don't have other idea...i don't plan to upgrade to win 10,i am very comfortable with 7 ultimate..the original HDD is with me but all the system files was damaged so i think it is no use

I would think a little longer about whether or not you want to upgrade to 10. Win7 Ultimate is a good OS but support for it will end at least five years before it does for 10 and there's less than a month to opt for the free upgrade. Either way, if the original HDD is damaged then the big question becomes whether you still have the COA for Windows 7. That's the 25 character code thats printed on the windows 7 sticker on the bottom of your laptop. It should be there but unfortunately sometimes the ink rubs off. If you're still working on this feel free to comment back and I'll help you through the clean install
