Third cylinder misfire also had oil in the third cylinder

I have a 2000 Honda Accord ex, my car was fine the other day and all of a sudden today went to start it and it was shaking got about 3 miles down the road and it started puttering , so I took it to auto zone to have them test and see what could be the problem. They explained to me that there is a third cylinder misfire and I should replace the spark plugs and wires . I could only afford to get the spark plugs and when the new ones were put in the car sounded a lot worse . Any idea on what it could be or what I should do . The cylinder did have a lot of oil in it too

Was the oil in the cylinder or in the spark plug chute, the tube that the spark plug sits in ? This sounds like the valve cover gasket is leaking into the spark plug chute and is causing a misfire . check the boot of the plug wire as it can be damaged by the oil and this can cause the misfire issue. when you removed the plug did you allow all the oil to drain into the cylinder? to remedy this problem you need to replace the plug wire the plug and the valve cover gaskets and plug seals. Hope this helps
