streaks on screen after repair

I replaced my dock and my button on the iphone 4. But now I only streaks of light on the screen. What can I do to fix this?

You probably ruined the screen by damaging the screen cables.

You need a new screen assembly.

But I would instead use the money towards upgrading to a newer / faster model.
