MacBook won't power on.

EDIT: MacBook history.

MacBook Wont boot past apple logo screen..

A1278/C17J9JQHDTY3

1) MacBook randomly died and won't start.

2) I opened MacBook, evident water/liquid damage.

3) alcohol soak, swab & dry.

4) SMC reset.

5) MagSafe charger orange/green light.

What do I try next? How can I fault find the battery, dc-in board or

logic board?

Logic boards are stupid expensive... Literally 90% of the cost of the MacBook when it was new.. I would assume it's possible to fix it at component level?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks,

T.

That mid boot usually indicates a video problem. The 15" of this had a class action law suit.

I would hit the CPU and GPU with a hot air work station. But first would try

a: Safe Boot

b. Boot from external drive

c. internet system reinstall

I think my post mislead you. My MacBook has no response. No sound. Nothing on screen.

I am going to order a DC-in board and battery to see if that could be the issue. Im just hoping my logic board isn't ruined. If you come up with any other ideas, it would be greatly appreciated Mr. Mayer!

Tyler - give that a shot first. If not, I would have a re-work station done on the GPU. If you have someone locally that can do it. I'll be doing this procedure this week on a couple of 2011 13" with the same issue. Will try to remember to let you know how they come out. Re-post your results so I will remember to get back to you with mine.
