Touch ID is working, clicking isn't.

I recently replaced the battery of my iPhone 5s. After restarting the iPhone I realized that the cellular network was gone and the functionality of the home button was limited. I solved the first problem by resetting the network settings. The second problem, however, is still there. Touch ID is working properly but it does not react to my clicking. I cannot see any visible damage on the cable and I don't know how it is possible that Touch ID is still working while the other functions are not as there is only one cable..

Thanks for your help

Sven

Hi Sven, does the home button work if you loosen the screws on the button shield or if you manually click the little "nipple" of the back of the button. if there is no visible damage it could be an issue with the connector to the charging dock, try refitting.
