digitizer replacement ipad 2 connection weak

I replaced the digitizer on ipad 2. The connection was really tight. Lower buttons would not work but after reinstalling connection cable it would work for short time. After reinstalling cable several times, I ripped the cable. Now ordering another new digitizer hoping this one will work better. Can I return the first one for credit?

I admit I tore it after having to insert it so many times. I will see if the next digitizer cable makes a better connection. If so, than this one had a bad connector to start with. That is what I was questioning. Each time I inserted the cable it would work for short amount of time and then act as though a letter or number was being pressed.

What is lower buttons? There is only one physical button at the bottom which is the home button.

Are you referring to the digitizer bottom area of the touch screen / glass?

I'm guessing you did not install the digitizer cable correctly / tucked in firmly. Ripping the cable is physical damage. Not sure if they cover that under warranty.

Connection is probably weak due to faulty digitizer cable or ripped one.
