Home button not working after battery change

Home button no longer operating after I replaced battery. Can I replace it? or is there something else happening?

Is the home button jammed? If yes attempt to reseat the home button and the iPad Digitizer / glass.

Is it not working at all? Check if the two golden push pin connector points near the charging point are not damaged or bent.

If you didn't take the home button off the glass at all then I really doubt the home button itself is faulty.

You most likely damaged the two golden push pin things above the charger port and will probably need to replace the charging port because I'm pretty sure it goes together with the two gold push pin things.
