centre output is not working
Hi,
I have a Pioneer vsx 922 Home AV amp. Its has worked great, till the other day when the speech on a film was not working. I investigated and found the centre speaker was outputting very quiet. i turned up the volume, and the only noise coming from it was like a crackle (like a blown speaker). I have changed the speaker, and also tested the centre speaker on other outputs, and deduced that it is the output from the amp, not any ancillary . i removed power, reset the unit, and tried again with no inputs, just did the MCACC test, and the tones sounded the same. I have spoken to the repair shop who said it may be the input board, but I'm not convinced as there is no inputs and still the same. I am very disappointed as i brought this unit just under 3 years ago and it is rarely used, maybe a few times a month for PS4 or a film, but not daily as others have. really thought it would have lasted longer. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be the issue?
Is this a good question?

This guy described the same problem on a different channel, and diagnosed it as a bad resistor https://youtu.be/5H5gCZ_2VFA?t=8m20s
