Android is Upgrading screen

I had to reset my Zeki tablet; finally got past the android screen and now it says android is upgrading , optimizing app 1 of 39. It has been on this screen for forever. is there any way to do this upgrade using the tablet connected to my PC? I really like my tablet and don't have the money for a new one. Please Help!!

I tried the solution posted here , using the reset button while holding down the left volume button. It got me to the point where I'm at now. I tried turning on the tablet this morning and it now says System upgrading , optimizing 3 of 39. It stays on this screen. I shut the tablet off when it starts feeling hot to the touch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
