What causes hesation on accelleration
hesitates from idle to higher speed
Is this a good question?
@ram66 that hesitation is usually caused by a fuel issue (either not enough or to much) as well as vacuum leaks and multiple other things. Check for any obvious air leaks on vacuum lines and your air intake. Other than that it is best to get the OBD checked to see if it throws any codes. If it is the throttle position sensor you would get either a P1122 Throttle Position Stuck Closed or a P1123 Throttle Position Stuck Open code and your service engine light would be on. Replacement of the sensor would resolve that. Check on simple things like this as well
There could be an issue with the accelerator pedal sensor. It could think its being pressed when it is actually not. This could cause the car to go when it should be idle. Dangerous. But yes take it in for service and this will likely be the issue!
i had that problem in my 06 Ford Explorer, heaitation in low idle between 1000 to 1400 rpms. solution i changed the egr valve and the gas filter ... walla runing like new again !
always try simple stuff first !
