I just fixed one that had this problem, on the end of the battery tray, there are two contact points. They can be a little far behind the plastic, making the contact springs on the gun hard to to touch them, so wedge some tin foil into the spot where the contacts are, or put batteries in the tray, and test it with a voltage meter, OR check for corrosion and scrape it out, because that’s a common issue with Vulcans.

Well I hate to say this but you might have to open up the nerf gun to fix this issue because it could be the motor but it could be a spring to as if it was like my nerf gun the spring failed but here is a youtube video that shows how to get to the motor and springs but I don't know where the problem lies at though but here is the breakdown of your nerf gun and someone could have painted your nerf gun to by the way. But here is the link https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oD3v77GQxA... I wish I could be a little more help but maybe someone else will come in with a better answer I hope.

My vulcan will not shoot in full auto and I even cleaned the corrosion so I’d just sell it on eBay then buy a better nerf gun.

Mine doesn’t work and there are no visible problems it shoots fine but the orange thing that pulls the belt through won’t work.

theVulcan is a big, flashy MG... that likes to jam on full auto new from the factory. If your a serious fabricator there are mods/rebuilds to somewhat fix the problem (also extend range and rate of fire as a bonus) but there is a considerable amout of one-off redesigning to make it work right. Bottom line for 30$-40$ is a good deal to enjoy as-is, warts and all.
