Bricked iPhone 5s? Apple logo, no DFU.

My iPhone 5s is messed up, it bricked itself overnight somehow. It was playing up and laggy, I left it frozen last night and went to sleep to wake up to it flashing on the apple logo, I've tried to put it in dfu mode but it won't go in and it won't show my home screen regardless what I try, I've managed to put it in restore mode but it won't get past "Preparing iPhone for restore". Can anyone help me?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hey Kenny,

Try it this way instead:

  1. Check carefully that the device is definitely switched off
  2. Press together both Power and Home buttons
  3. Connect the device into the computer but retain pressing the Home button and release only the Power button
  4. Release only the Home button upon seeing the iTunes or USB cable trademark flashing on the screen
  5. Proceed to doing the restoration process

(There are more techniques here: http://www.mactrast.com/2013/02/how-to-s...)

If that doesn't work, you should do fresh install of iTunes on a different computer. This helped me before when I was bricked after an unsuccessful jailbreak.

Let me know if this helps.
