Battery not charging unless screen is open after screen replacement

Good day,

I replaced the front screen on this iphone 6 and it will not charge when the screen is on, when I open the phone (not taking the screen totally off) it charges like a hot darn. The minute I close it, no charging. What did I do wrong here?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

It will charge if I have the screen on but only if the right hand corner is not pushed down.

put a new screen on now it works, anyone know why this would happen?

Which right hand corner? Top / bottom / middle?

Right hand bottom part of screen, never had this happen before!

It amazes me how there isn't really a solution to this issue yet as far as I've checked on google. You're not the only one with this issue. Had a few recently that have complained about this. I think it's some sort of grounding issue under the charging dock assembly.

I guess the front display frame was badly made or something for the screen you had before?

Good friends, you can check if your terminal is somewhat bent? this can make the screen and even the motherboard behave strangely, I happened to me with the same model terminal very recently. Excuse me for my English ;)

Where is the part specifically? I know that the original screen on an unopened iPhone 6 and 6 plus have a rubber cover that goes on the two screw holes at the bottom of the screen. Maybe that helps with grounding or something as it stops it from touching the two charger port dock assembly screws.
