When I turn it on it freezes on dopo screen and when I get it to recovery screen I can't choose anything I try volume + and volume- but it won't move so I can choose any options?? It belongs to a friend who asked me to look at it after his friend brought it back to him like that just trying to help him thank you.

Let it sit unplugged and on till the power drains completely, then charge it up and try to start it up.
