Charging port replaced now have bad/no reception

Hi,

Recently had my iPhone charging port replaced.

I had unreal download speeds but bad reception for about 30 mins but now my phone struggles to connect to the Internet on 4g and cuts in and out during phone calls?

Wifi works fine though?

I'm stumped.

Is this a cheap/dodgy part that was replaced?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi

You have to replace it again because the antenna is on the charging port. Make sure first that you have connected the antenna properly.

Hope this help

This is caused by the little metal rings on the bottom of the charging port part. These rings connect to the housing which is your antenna.

I’ve bought several of these parts and all of them are missing these metal rings and my clients where complaining about bad reception to.

I’m now using the charging part of a crashed or water damaged iphone 6. No problems so far.

I had the same problem after doing this repair myself. I then replaced the original part and the signal was fine again. I checked the original and replacement parts carefully, and they were the same - so I didn't have the missing metal rings issue mentioned above. Next I got a replacement part from a different source (not ebay) fitted that, and all is good. So my experience is it was a faulty part. This seems to be a common problem.
