How to repair the shutter problem on the Canon Powershot S100?

A common error on the Canon Powershot S100 is a broken shutter as described in this youtube video. Someone published another video to promote an online petition so Canon will officially recognize the problem. The broken shutter triggered more than 450 posts in their community forum.

Several people claim part CM1-7226-020 or CM1-7226-030 is at fault. The part doesn't seems to that expensive (~USD 30). How do i change it?

(The different part numbers seem to point to different versions of the same part)

Thanks

I fixed it! I replaced FPC ASSY TOP (CM1-7226-020). I followed instructions to replace GPS Board. From there on it's pretty straight forward.
