Digitizer cable installation after replacing LCD

How do you know if the digitizer cable is installed properly and not creased or pinched when reinstalled or replaced? I have replaced the LCD with minor issues but get the 24 million minutes retry message once the iPad is powered on. I have tried to reinstall the cable back to the original positioning in the diagrams but still seem to have a fold in it between the digitizer and the LCD.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

24 million minutes retry message is usually solved when you have iPad connected via 3G or Wi-Fi with date and time set automatically. Hopefully you have set it up to set date/time automatically with internet. If not you will most likely need to restore the system software (iOS) on the iPad 2.

I wouldn't touch the digitizer cable if it appears to be working fine.
