Why my keyboard is not working sometimes

hello there to all

I was wondering if someone can help me with few problem I have with my lab

top

1-my keyboard doesn't respond sometimes specially if it goes to sleep or stand by and if i turn it off and on again start working for a while or sometimes when i try to type opens different program like my history or my documents

2-when i click on any link opens few extra windows

i am guessing something in the setting has go wrong is there anyone can help me up plz
