so my ipod dies and I try to plug it in, and it comes up with the symbol that it needs to be plugged in when it is plugged in! I tried everything including cleaning out the charging port. I don't know why this is happening. Tomorrow I am going to a IFix-it in the mall. please give me some feed back and what to do. thank you.

-Have you tried a different charging cable to eliminate the possibility of a defective charging cable.
-Have you tried connecting it to a computer to see if it charges and recognize your iPod.
-Have you tried connecting the charging cable to a different power adapter.
-If all fails the charging port needs to be replaced.
