After replaceing glass - touch doesn't work very well

Hi,

I've replaced my cracked glass on the Galaxy Note II and everything works well.

However, I can see that the glass is a bit higher than the metal body in the lower part (near the buttons) and the touch isn't working very well in these areas. If I press the glass down hard, it stays there and the touch is working fine then, but after a few minutes it rises up again and the touch doesn't work well (still works, but stutters).

I think it might be because some adhesive was left on the adhesive tape surrounding the body... or maybe while removing the glass, I pulled the LCD up too much...

Do I need to redo the whole procedure?

I even tried keeping the phone under a heavy weight throughout the night but even that didn't work.

Please help!

Amit

This is most likely due to the previous old adhesive for the old glass not being cleaned on the frame properly and/or newly applied adhesive was too thick causing the touch to be too high and not work properly unless pressed down hard.

I think you need to clean the adhesive very well on the frame then put new adhesive on again. I haven't done glass replacement on the Samsung Galaxy Note II so there may be other things you need to do to get it working reliably.

Thanks for replying!

So do I need to buy a new glass? If I remove the glass and I want to put it on again, where do I get new adhesive from?
