Black Screen after drop - phone still responsive with sound/works

Dropped my Note 2 phone on the ground and the screen is now black. The phone turns on normally and even makes responsive sounds to finger input (like swiping, etc).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can resolve this short of buying a new digitizer? I took the phone apart, unconnected the digitzer cable and reattached them but the screen is still black.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

That cable is actually the LCD + Digitizer cable. When you dropped the phone you most likely cracked the LCD in the corner as most people won't be able to tell. You will need to buy a new LCD + Digitizer. You may be able to buy it also with frame.
