I have the same problem. I think the humidity sensor is broken. Now the question is: what model of the humidity sensor is used here?

by

Time to tear it apart and find out. Take lots of picture and make a guide for the rest of us.

by

I replaced the humidity sensor and checked the black sensor that sits one the same module. Both are working. Also the temp sensor was fine, still I get the P1 error…

by

How should I disconnect those 4 cables from the board?

dulebu, the P1 error message means that the temperature in the room is too low. The temperature should be no less than 18 degrees celsius or the humidity in the room should be below 30%..

Thanks, but room temperature is about 20 celsius and humidity about 70%.

Is there possibility that humidity sensor is broken ?

by

Yes that is very much a possibility. A failed hygrostat appears on the forums about the P1 error a lot.

Hello can I get a link for the sensor because I have the same problem?

Duracraft DD-TEC10NE: I take some pictures.

Control Plate:

Hydro-Stat-Modul:

Temperature Sensor:

To open that device you need a normal cross screwdriver and for one srew you need a torx srewdriver with torx 10.

Update (28.01.2017)

To repair the p1 error you have to replace the Hydro-Stat-Modul.

I do that and it works fine for me. Also you could only replace the hydro sensor on the old plate.

If you only want to replace the hydro sensor it would costs only 8,93€ + shipping costs

Why have I do that because my warranty had come to an end for one year so - I don't want to repair his device from the producer for a lot of money etc. and because it's fun to repair something yourself.

Hi,

Can you tell which partnumber the hygrosensor is you used?

BTW:

The little black component on the Hydro-Stat module is a temperature sensor used for the hygro measurement (combination of temperature and humidity to measure relative humidity)

The Temperature sensor you mention is the sensor that protects the cooling system from freezing and overheating.

by

Partnumber (EAN) 4016138323856 Hygrosensor ...range from 0 C°-60 C° under 0 C° it will show 20%. I hope I could help you.

by

Thanks a lot, that helped. I did already try some other sensors like the HR202L without success. Will order a EFS10 as you suggested to try that.

The lead of the Thermistor on the Hydro-Stat-Modul of my Duracraft DD-TEC10NE has been corroded to the point that it didn’t made contact anymore. Please see the following picture:

I cut away the corroded part of the Thermistor leads and put it back in. Now it is fixed and seems to be working just fine again.

Welcher Wert hat das Bauteil

Thanks for showing it, had the same issue. It worked for a few days after cutting down the corroded part. Gonna try to replace the thermistor.

by

Same issue, unfortunately the thermistor in my case was so badly corroded, that I was unable to solder back in. The humidity sensor (next to it) also showed values in the many 10s of MΩ range instead of the kΩ range.

None of the component has any indication of range.

In the end, I bypassed both components by a regular 10kΩ resistor until I can get some replacement part, this way it works (but lacking the safety features + settable humidity setting).

Hi, from your answers I realized that if the room temperature sensor is faulty, so I tried to evade it by blowing hot air into the appliance with a hair dryer and after a minute it started working again :)
