My drill is making a loud rattling sound

My drill is being louder than usual. It makes an annoying rattling noise and the drill does not spin as well as before since the noise started.

The most likely cause for a rattling sound coming from your drill would be an issue with the ball bearings. The drill's motor shaft has two ball bearings.
