Why is my laptop not holding a charge?

At first my laptop was lasting hours without needing a recharge but recently the battery requires constant charging. I cant utilize the mobility of this device and I am forced to be plugged into a wall. Please let me know how to fix my problem!

Options

Make sure to shut down all running applications that could be slowing your computer down! Restarting the laptop could also resolve the problem. If neither of these solutions work, the battery itself may be the problem. You can replace the battery by following the guide linked on the troubleshooting page. Good luck!
