Keyboard back light is always on

My laptop keyboard back light is always on.

Only when my laptop is asleep or turned off the back light.

I tried to use the normal method - fn f3 - not working.

I couldn't find a property in the computer that can change it.

Thank you, good luck.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi @Edgar Ghazarayan,

Try installing the latest Asus ATK package and Smart Gesture drivers and check if that resolves the problem.

Be sure to install the ATK Package first before installing the Smart Gesture.

Also do not be tempted to install any other drivers from this link (not yet anyway). Work on one problem at a time. As the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it ;-)

I tried it many many times, tried older drivers and newer ones and still nothing. I thing that problem is not that simple yet it is not some mechanical problem.

Good luck!

I wish I could get my Dell keyboard to stay lit longer than 10 seconds when not depressing any keys.

  • When did this first occur?
  • Have you looked at the Administrative Events?
  • Do all your keys function properly?
  • Have you checked your owners manual/PDF
  • Have you tried reverting back to an earlier driver through the Device Manager?

Hi @Edgar Ghazaryan,

How long since you took it in for service?

If it was working before you took it in and not after you got it back from service, take it back and show them the problem.

Do you know if they had to open the laptop to fix the blue screen problem?

If they did then it may be a hardware fault caused when they were fixing the screen problem.
